Every horse, like every human, has its own story to tell. Being in the position to help these magnificent animals, is a privilege and one I never take lightly. Like every person who has a story to tell, one must “listen” to fully understand what that individual is going through. Whether it is a horse doing its best for its rider in a competition or an older horse just trying to deal with what life throws its way, it takes caring humans to listen and do what is best for that horse.

My intent for each and every horse and owner is to first listen with my ears to the human and identify what the goals are for their horse. Then I will “listen” with my eyes, my hands and yes, my ears too! Through a thorough physical and myofascial exam, I will let the horse tell me what is going on and identify areas of concern or weakness. We - the horse, owner, trainer, or rider and myself - will then agree upon a treatment that best achieves the goal. Whether it is to reduce the pain from chronic arthritis, to treat a specific disease entity, or simply getting that horse feeling its best prior to a competition, acupuncture and various integrative techniques are wonderful tools upon which to layer your horse’s veterinary care. I look forward to each and every “conversation”.
